hey guys n gals
ive been building this supra on n off now for the last few months.
now its almost completed, i thought id show it to u ppl n get a bit of an opinion.

do u think i should hav the wing or not??
the cars been painted black, but the pics r too big to be posted.
all i hav to do now is polish the body n its pretty much done.

pls make comments on the car

very nice looking car, and don't bother with a wing, it would ruin the car's smooth lines. it's a touring car though, isn't it?

ok the bodies been painted.
all i need to do now is add the little things in like lights, cooler, graphics??
also tryin to make a nitrous bottle...not coming along too well, dont really know how to do it. :confused:

the paints tamiya metallic black TS40.
i was hoping itd be more black, but it didnt turn out that dark at all.
its more gunmetal than anything.

got any suggestions??

I agree about metallic black. It does look more gunmetal than black.

I know since I painted my skyline in that color.

for this model, i used putty for the first time ever.
i only used it for filling up the holes that were there for the GT style petrol fillers (???) n other holes that were there
n i also used for the first time chrome foil.
also first time i scratch made an exhaust n intercooler.
this model was very experimental.

gimme any opinions, criticism or tips.
really, i wanna know what i can do to improve my models.

nice. i love any car with a dark grey-black color. i see many cars witht he color and only a few are horrible looking. i like the rims.. i know a guy with a supra that has rims KINDA like that. a bit smaller but hey they're drag tires... here's the only pic i can find..

I am building Castrol supra for my sister totally box-stock... except the wing. I don't like it. :bloated: It's gonna have a stock supra spoiler.:bigthumb:

Everything on this model looks amazing, just wondering did you use styrene, tubes for the exhaust or aluminumn?

the exhaust was made from 2 aluminium tubes...
ive polished it heaps n it still doesnt come out that shiny....might hav to chrome her up...

ive still got lil minor touches to put on her...
like chroming the door handles...
nitrous bottle...that jus looks like its not gonna happen at all....coming along real badly...heheehhe

also want to put different wheels on it...like some big 19s...
anyone got 19s deep dish wheels they wanna sell to me??

i might paint the center of these wheels gold...what do u guys think??

you have some very interesting plans for your car, and detail master makes nitrous bottles, although I've never seen one for sale anywhere. :smile:

thats probably the coolest supra models ive seen, i even set it as my wallpaper. Are those the rims that come with the kit , and did u lower it?

That Supra of yours looks really cool! I love the colour, but it should be a little bit shinier, if you don't mind me saying :biggrin: A little darker wouldn't kill it though, but Tamiya's TS40 doesn't get much darker than that. BTW, did you spray any wetcoats?:confused: I'm sure it is a really stupid question, but I had to ask it..:icon16: Keep up the good work.

i wanted the colour to be a lot darker, but the paint didnt turn out as id like it to be....dam....:mad:
the paint doesnt look as shiny in the photo....for some reason metallic paint dont look as good in fotos :confused:

yeah there were wetcoats....i basically had 2 layers of primer, than sprayed the car in a normal black colour as a base coat. the base coat covered all parts of the car, there were 2 layers there.
then i used the TS40 to finish it off with 3 coats n to cap it all off, 2 layers of clear...hehehhe

GTI1800: i want to put 19s on it badly.....but here in aust its hard to find these kind of things....i was considering ordering from hlj...but ive never done it b4 n so not too sure how to do it.
