Here are two pics (1 pic= 1000 words).

More pics when progressed.

well, you asked for it ;)

so interior mods;

Custom built roll cage
Took out back seats
Modified seat
Racing-spec dashboard
working on little details now

exterior mods;

Dropped to 3 mm in the front and 4.5 mm in the rear
c-west front spoiler
c-west sideskirts
c-west back bumper
filled the license plates
added some racing hook to the front
spoiler was cut into three pieces and another flat piece was inserted from the NSX.
NSX brakes around
Changed the rims Yes I know the bolt pattern isn't matching but these are temporary wheels
Scratch built exhaust system
widened the arches about 0.5 cm

and probably some other stuff I can't rememer.

Thanks for the compliments!

Hey gang,

some minor progress; just added some stuff behind the grille ,because otherwise it would look so empty !

And I did a little simulation on my high end system with a high end programe to simulate the final look of my ITR !
here it goes (mine will be nicer though ;-)

Oh, can you name the programme and the system ?

;)

To RyanGiorgio;
The game has been out here in Yurp for abuot six months now, I think

to cph 81 ; don't really know... I can't mold myself, unless anybody can mold, I ll be glad to help them out, but for the moment "Niet".

So Auto Modellista is the game? Looks cool, do they have it for PC? Thanx:)

bigfrit
05-15-2003, 05:42 PM
Yep, the game is automodellista; for PS2 only.

update; made the squarecraft side mirrors and preparing to be primered; only thing is that I m not sure if I can primer it with grey primer, will I be able to spray pure white on it, without it being too dark?

!HELP !

Yikes! If you're using Tamiya TS26, I would prime in white. Automotive lacquer would cover with hardly a notice. :)

bigfrit
05-21-2003, 03:03 PM
Thought I d give you all a little update,
The body has now been primered, lightly sanded, but needs some more sanding, a final coat of primer and a coat of ts-26.
Oh, and by the way, the green marker you see on the body is where some more work needed to be done.

The interior, fully caged, needs some sanding and painting, as you might notice !

Now here is a question for you guys , I am going to smoothe the gas-can; the plan is to integrate (pun ? ) a jgtc gas-stuffy into one of the rear panels, now I haven't got any idea where and what kind I should do , can somebody please help me with this (maybe with explanation and pics?

Thanks on beforehand, Olivier

What you need is a part like this, this one is from the Tamiya Pennzoil Skyline. If you have one you could make a copy of it, or order that parts tree from Tamiya. Just cut a hole a little smaller than it in the ITR body and glue it in from the back. Is this going to be a race car? :)

well, I think I will build it out of styrene,
but the question is, where would I have to place it so it won't look too awkward ?

Olivier

Veyron
05-21-2003, 03:58 PM
Right between the tail lights, or a single one on the side like this.

A little update on my ITR. Sofar everything is going as planned. The chassis has been painted Ts-38 Gun Metal. the suspention bits have been painted ts - 17

Still needs a lot of detailing.

Have you guys some comments or suggestions bout the colours ?

I thought of having the rims white, what do you all think !

http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/856267I1.jpg

Quite shiny, although I still have to Polish it!
I m one happy geezer!

Looking great! I think silver would put a racy look to it, you could accent with a stripe or some graphic to spice it. :)

You've not failed to impress me yet, Olivier. This Teg is fab. It seems this generation is designed for the aftermarket to redesign it.

By the way, any thoughts on the wheel & tire package?

05-31-2003, 03:09 AM
looks super shiny! and all that is just primer??? you've got some talent laying on that paint my friend :D . however, why did you mask the grill and the headlights? are they molded in? anyway, great job on the mods!

a.

bigfrit
05-31-2003, 03:32 AM
No, the ast pics show the car with the actual paint job on it, that's why it's shiny!
I had to mask the lights because I needed some phat coats of primer in order to get all the impureties away!

As for the rims are concerned, check on page one, those rims will be used, and the colour will be ?..... white, or black or deep gunmetal ?

Sorry guys, I like my racecars white ;)

Olivier

Awesome!
Great WOrk man.
Love the choice of color, also painted my SAS ITR white.

I think this one needs panel lines.
IMO body that is painted in lighter colors needs panel lines, IMo the body seems empty with out them,

With darker colors I think you don't need them such as darker blues, purples, greens, and greys and gunmetals. Just my opinion.

05-31-2003, 02:35 PM
olivier, i went through your list of mods again and i'm curious, did you use a donor model for your c-west parts?

a.

bigfrit
05-31-2003, 02:54 PM
Erm, nope, everything was done with styrene and with putty and blood , sweat and tears !

The only donor parts, as you want to call it , were teh spare NSX brakes, and the rims, from an ex-ford focus, now being converted in a Alfa GTV WRC (should be floating the boards somewhere...

Very sharp! How is the interior coming along? I vote for gunmetal on the wheels!

Keep us posted!

bigfrit

Well, sofar, most of the painting has been done, the panel lines added, need stll to add some black to the window frames and do some detail-painting.
The interior is coming along nicely, which sports a p-e -buckled seat; wired tracking device, wired handbrake and gear lever.
There is still some minor detail work to be done to teh chassis, but in the whole, the car is about 80 % done.

Wheels, well, their colour isn't decided yet, I ll see.

Cheers, Olivier

bigfrit
06-20-2003, 04:48 PM
Ok, slowly getting there...

Sofar, the chassis has been detailed, parts glued into place, rims still have to be chosen and the interior is painted, wired and glued, sporting helmet, lap-tracking system (wired), handbrake (wired) and the usual stuff, gunmetal scratchbuilt rollcage... lotsa things I keep on forgetting.. but here s what has been made untill now
sorry for the bad pics, it was getting a bit dark over here...

ciao

Here's a little view of the contest entry, it has got all things done to it, even has those sweet gunmetal BBS's fitted, but unfortunately, I just cannot enter these pics, I just got home now and the contest deadline is in a few hours . I cannot seem to find the time to take pics by nice daylight, so I guess it's better to not enter if you can't enter properly...

But hey, life sucks...
