Ok following the progress of my revell spider, I've decided to upgrade it to a real big brake kit. I had to sacrifice my aoshima toyota saloon because it has large brembos on it, but I feel it's worth it.

As you can see it's crap. The rotor is a satin chrome ring that I had to slot (did a bad job on it, too :D ). The caliper is a fair enough size, and is attached to the axle so the rotor spins with the wheel. But hey, models sit on a shelf. I need it to look good sitting still.

Here you see the very nice aoshima brembos. Nice detail, imo.

The rotor and caliper have been removed from the suspension. As you can see the center is filled, which won't work.

To remove it, you have to cut off the extruding back. A serrated kitchen knife will suffice.

Now the flat rotor can be placed inside the wheel housing. Surprisingly it fits snugly where the revell plain rotor was.

Now the wheel hold needs to be modified so it all stays together. As you can see the caliper is tied in with it. Not a problem.

A few cuts and its apart.

Now put it on the axle. Of course, you want to make sure everything is painted first.

Voila! The way a ferrari should really look! :bandit:

Update: It turns out the original revell rotor needs to be used as a backing for the brembo rotor. This will give the rotor the proper depth.
