Basically, if you want your bass to sound good, you need a well designed box to go with the sub and amp.

Im offering my services for a small fee, to help people who want to build a well planned out box. I can give you a design to your spec, complete with sizes for each panel, and a basic step by step guide to putting it together. All you need is to be handy at DIY and you shouldnt have much problems with it.

Heres the small print................
there isnt any, well, just that i cant be responsible for any incompetance of build quality and fittings, i'll help where i can and give advice where i can, but the end result is only as good as the workmanship. Payments can be made using PayPal.

Heres mine that ive had now for about 4 years, built to last!!

Ive just spent the best part of an hour drawing this diagram for Aznvirus This is part of the deal. After this, comes the sizes for each panel.

Mrcoilover - so its my experience that you doubt?? think what you may, but like i said, im offering my services!!:flipa: In fact, take a leaf out of Swonder67's book, have a look thru some of the threads in the audio section. Much of my system is posted on there including stages of production. Final word, I dont have to prove anything to you, but the proofs already there.

Say dawg. I don't need any of these:flipa: . I was just saying that it looked like I could have bought that exact box at some car store. If you say you have skills, then I believe so. Just stating what I thought. I already have some speakers right now and it hits perfectly. But if I did need some custom work, I would hit you up. capeesh.:finger:

Just goes to show how much i put into my work. If you think thats its bought, and believe me youre not the first, then it gives you an idea of what i can do with a bit of time and patients. I was only having a go cos of the tone of your reply.

It's all good dawg. I guess that proves that your work is good. Youve said that you can make boxes, but can you make like built in subs in the trunk. That is a work of art. I give you much props. I see you have JL audios. I have 2 12's of the same brand. They hit hard as hell. You learned how to do it just by playing around or something?

If you mean like flush fitting, then yes. Ive made a sub box that fitted into one side of the boot on my old nissan almera. Basically, i masked the whole side off, then used resin and glass wool to build up layers. When it hardened, removed it, built up further layers till it was about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick. Then each side was cut and trimmed down so i had straight side, and then using the form, marked and cut out each panel for each side and attached it in the usual way (screws, adhesive, sealer) Now heres the clever bit, because of the side of the boot being such an akward shape, how would you work out the correct Cubic Feet for the sub????? Simple........ use sand!!! Get a square box or container, work out the volume of say 1 cubic foot in that, fill it with sand, then transfer it to the sub box. Level off the sand, and mark the level to all sides. Then remove all sand, trim down the sides, and you'll be left with just the front panel to fit, which houses the sub.

Ive basically picked it all up over the years. Ive had numerous cars, and in each car, ive always had a good sound system, which i would install myself. I also have good friends in the business, and learned a lot thru them. As a side line, i also worked as a fitter of car audio and security but that was a few years ago. Nowadays, im a self employed chef/restuarant owner and my car is my hobby. Audio systems are my strong point and main interest, apart from speed that is. But yes, i first started fitting for friends and picked everything up over the past 8 or 9 years. I learned by asking questions, there wasnt anyone to show me, everything is thru 'trail and error' and to this day, errors do still occur. Im not perfect, i dont class myself as a professional, but i take a lot of pride in the work that i do for both me and others.

Thats cool dawg. It's always good to know something about something. Me personally, I gotta get everythin I want done at a shop or something. All I can do is change bulbs and stuff. he he . I guess I'm good for nothing but, I know what looks good on cars and what don't and I know alot about styling. I just gotta tell someone else to do it for me. Yeah I did mean the flush boxes. When I get a car I will stick with a while, I will put one of those in. You live across the way so I guess you can't put my speakers in through the e-mail. he he.
