Cluster back lights quit working. ???? 03 Sable

2003 Sable

The cluster back lights quit working, and both the turn signal arrows are now lit full time with the headlights on. The arrow indicators still flash when signal is turned on. Any one had this problem before? I know all the bulbs are not burned out. Dimmer switch is not turned all the way down either. Any one ?

I bought this car new, no electrical modifications what so ever.

Re: Cluster back lights quit working. ???? 03 Sable

I had indicated the wrong year in my previous post, I've corrected that. The lights have come back on, but go in an out at the most in convenient time. Like driving on a long trip over the holidays at night. Or in the early morning while driving to work. It's annoying as hell to have to turn on the interior lights to see the spedo. Also have some electrical problem with the heater controls not turning on. Only the auto temp button will work, then eventually the system will start working after a while. Just annoying. Any one?

I temporally fixed the problem for now. I just grab the keys for my Chevy and leave the Ford in the driveway. But seriously if any one can shed some light on this problem for me, let me know.
