installing Kenwood stereo in my 2000 monte

I've put a stereo in a van before, but the monte is proving harder to find the correct wiringharness locally. i don't care if I lose the chimes, and this car seems to have been a bare bones model...no keyless entry and not even a cd player! I want to swap out the factory stereo with the Kenwood, but can't find the right harness in town. Even the local business that installs stereos for a living, sold me a harness for Saturn. While it fits, the connections aren't right. The pins don't line up with the slots. Anyone have the correct harness # that I need? Thanks for any help, Kim

they can sometimes be difficult to find. I forgot where I got my last harness from. Try looking it up on crutchfield, they are usually pretty good with that stuff.

thanks for the replies...I'll check with the other audio place in town tomorrow, but for now I threw it all back together
I don't need the expensive harness since none of my chimes are going through the radio. Let you know how it goes!

Re: installing Kenwood stereo in my 2000 monte

I was able to do it Just a little patience and finding the right harness from a shop in town that installs stereos. My door chimes don't sound, but hey, that's OK by me!
