Chevy Silverado ´99

After building many Euro cars, I wanted to do something else and picked this one. Kit is from Revell with custom parts, (bodykit and custom wheels incl.). Only used bodykit, wheels are Aoshima Beraglio Spoke III 20". Going for very mild look, I dont like chrome and "bling bling" much so I am painting those parts silver/aluminium.

Bodykit in place, ripped chrome from front bumper/grille:

Lowered suspension by relocating axel mounts:

After that rideheight looked just good

Here is pics from underside, added some weathering.

Engine put together, chrome parts ripped and painted silver.

Interior painted beige and black.

Color is Lamborghini Nero Pegaso, both base and clear coat from Zero Paints.

Assembled this quickly for local modelshow, engine bay isn't ready yet and some other little things left to do, there is also big gap between grille and bonnet, have to try fix that too. Frontlights are painted with Tamiya smoke (will do same to tail lights) , body polished and waxed.

Cool idea. Your interior looks great! I'm not such a fan of the bling-bling; are you still going to paint the rims aluminum?

Re: Chevy Silverado ´99

Nice shine you got there on the body, did you polish it out a lot or is that how Zero Paints lay down?

The interior could use a bit more attention IMO. The grooves of the leather could use a little wash and a bit more variation in color would make it look better.

Thanks, I'm not going to paint the rims aluminum, but maybe paint with smoke or add blackwash to get some depth.

I don't know was it because of the Zero clear or my airbrush but I got quite rough finish after painting and it took some work to get look like that. Polished it twice with pads 1500-8000 and then waxed. I have same opinion about the interior, I'm going to wash seams and etc. with some darker brown and add some color to dashboard.
