How much for painting?

I went to take my front lip, eyebrows, and type r grill to get painted today. They said it would be $350 for everything. I guess nothing was primered or anything, just have a gel coat. Is that normal? I thought it would no more than $200.

you should have been able to paint your eyebrows and maybe the grill yourself. i painted my eyebrows myself and it only took a few hours.

I just took my stuff to Maaco, as per Sparq's suggestion. They are charging me $210. Now that's better.

yep gonna get shit for that

why didn't you just paint the grill and the eyebrows yourself and then the cost would be lower and then you can get a better paint job

Maaco can do it better than any of you can, they're professionals.

i guess it really depends on the maaco you go to, cuz the guy at the maaco I went to was really surprised that I had poor jobs done at my usual macco. he said it is not very established (the old one), and th epainters there are not very experienced. so hopefully this will be done well.
