I've 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee replaced chime module as I broke it trying to remove it. Repl. chime drove from Fla to Texas and back no chime thought it was fixed now after driving about 200 yards it gives a steady chime is there a time relay? I figure a wire is grounding where it ain't suppose to problem is I have no wiring diagram Ieven got desperate cut the balck wire to the module at the module killed the chime but also killed my power door locks! I have respliced thewire where can I cut this damn thing and stillkeep my door locks Igive a shit less if I have seat belt warning we wear them all the time don't needa reminder any help will be greatly appreciated.

HI, I'M HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY JEEP. SAME MODEL. I TRIED REPLACING THE POWER CONTROL MODULE, BUT IT DIDN'T FIX IT. BEFORE I TAKE IT INTO THE DEALER AND SPEND SOME BUCKS, I'M HOPING YOU MIGHT HAVE FOUND THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM?

I HEARD IT MIGHT BE A FUSE, BUT I DON'T HAVE FUSE DIAGRAM - OR OWNERS MANUAL.

I HOPE YOU MANAGED TO FIX YOUR TRUCK!

THANKS FOR ANY ADVICE YOU CAN PASS ON.

On the pre 90s'there is a CHIME MODULE.This is what is "binging".On th 89'you can remove the CHIME MODULE,it is located in the lower left side of the fuse panel.

Unfortunately, this only opens up a whole new group of problems, including no power locks, interior lights or any accessories working.

REmoving the chimer only disrupts the circuit. And I already replaced the box too, so it wasn't the problem, anyway.

Thanks, though. I appreciate the suggestion!
