I have had the misfortune of dealing with a check engine light for the past month. Initially the code came back as defective gas cap, which was replaced and good for about 400 miles. Then the light came back reading a P0449 code or solenoid valve. This is the wife's car, and as I am out of town 20 out of 30 days she generally has a garage look at it. Last time I got hooked $125.00 for the gas cap.
I would like to know where the valve is located, though I believe it is driver side near the gas tank. I was home this weekend and the light was off, came back on yesterday morning, when I am gone. We have been running premium in the car since she drives 60 miles a day. Thank you for your time and consideration. Two Saint |
