00 Cranks ok hard start cold

I have 59 psi on the fuel pump when cranking then 50 when running. But runs bad for the first 1/2 mile then fine after that. New a/c plugs, wires, and fuel filter. No codes. Acts like lean. Had new FPR and PUMP a couple years ago. No fuel leaking by the vacuum port on the FPR. Is this another bad Fuel Pressure Regulator? 100k 5.3 4x4

60-65 is really the right pressure here.

The FPR you bought. is it OEM or Aftermarket? if it is after market it maybe why you are having issues.

Re: 00 Cranks ok hard start cold

FPR was changed two years ago under warranty. I put only AC Delco parts on this.

Re: 00 Cranks ok hard start cold

Check the value the temp sensor is reporting to the PCM. Another possiblity is a small leak at the intake manifold gasket. Leak goes away after it expands slightly.

Sounds more like a bad temp sensor to me.

Are these common for intake problems?

Re: 00 Cranks ok hard start cold

New FPR from delco no difference. Spec according to dealer is 55-60 and I have that and it does not bleed donwn and it does not take but a second to build pressure.
