Want to replace the front rotors. A couple of questions.
My mechanic at work looked at the front rotors today when I had him change the brake pads. He said they looked "pressed on"
He needs to know what parts (grease, bearings, etc.) are necessary to remove and replace the front rotors. I already have the rotors. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Jason in NYC |

Depends on what year? 2wd or 4wd?
Put vehicle info in your signiture so we dont have to try remembering.

Re: Want to replace the front rotors. A couple of questions.
Its a 2001 Rodeo. The rotors arent pressed on they are held in place by a nut and retainer ring on the spindle thats hidden behind the drive flanges. The part that holds all the studs is bolted to the rotor though and I believe you have to remove that and transfer it onto the new rotors. Make sure you dont overtighten the nut though or you can wear out the bearings alot faster.
