Fueling and dying issue

I was wondering if anyone else has these problems. When fueling my 2000 LS V8, the automatic fuel shut off on the gas pump kicks in as if the tank is full. This happens repeatedly, so I either have to barely squeez the pump handle and fuel it extremely slowly, or let it cut off, which, either way, takes way to long to fuel up.

Also, today, when exiting off the highway, the engine just died. Luckily, i was able to shift it into neutral and restart without causing an accident. Anyone else having these problems?
