The debate is over cold air intake, or warm air intake. As for which one is best for you? thats for you to decide. I know of quite a few people using intakes purchased off ebay, and they work excellent. Myself, I am materialistic, and like the name brands. So I have a AEM intake.

I dont think anyone makes a cold air intake for a DX though. I have one myself and i couldnt find anything at all. AEM wont fit, they only make intakes for Si/Ex models. Somebody correct me if im wrong though. If someone does make a cold air for the DX I'd love to know. I just bought one off of ebay for like 25 bucks and im satisfied with it.

I have an ebay generic short ram that I got for $16, works great, I dont really see the advantage of getting a name brand.

As far as cold air on a DX, my friend here in napa has an 89 CRX DX and he got a 'CP' off ebay for $60, and it works fine for him, he also did the mpfi conversion, so his car is pretty fast (faster than mine due to mpfi and the fact that the crx weighs next to nothing)

Well, my friend has a 91 DX CRX and he has a AEM CAI and it fit for him, it was a tight fit, but it fit, the only problem you will have is putting on a strut bar on a DX because the intake manifold is right in the way, unless you get a neuspeed one..... but my friend has a DX and he has DPFI and he has a AEM CAI, so they DO fit, it just requires a little work..

Ebay sellers I have dealt with

directcarparts is really good, I got my intake from him

autobacs1 is ok, he has some communication issues, and if you buy two things he wont put em in the same box to help you and his packaging is pretty piss poor. I bought my clear corners, bumper lenses, and yellow emblems from him.

mandalynet is REALLY good, excelent customer service, and fast shipping. I got my reconditioned JVC KD-S680 cd reciever from him

dupsman SUCKS!! I bought my VX rims from him which were supposed to be in "excelent condition" and when they get here the tires are all shit, and one of em has a fat ass bend on the inside, we were able to fix it but still.

swilson68 is also really good, I bought my radar detector from him.

clipper is really good - I bought a replacement alpine speaker from him REALLY GOOD PACKAGING

There is also another guy I got my pioneers from who has his own ebay store and sells A LOT of shit, but I cant remember what the hell his name is.

Currently I have a pending sale with protech_us, so I will let you guys know how that goes.

Yea, probably, usually there isnt much of a difference. Name brands are usually carb numbered and legal though.

Iceman is decent, "cooler" than the rest cause its made from plastic or so they say. It can be converted from short-ram or cold-air.
