76 Chevy Caprice lowrider

A quick build purely on account of I love the look of these old barges & wanted one in my collection.
The only none stock items are the rims & tyres which are from Pegasus hobbies with Model Car Garage p/e spinner centres. Paint is Zero Nissan Le Mans Sunset plus pre-thinned clear laquer.
Anyway here's the pics:

Thanks for looking
Andy

Re: 76 Chevy Caprice lowrider

Excellent job, that car looks great! When I saw the thread title I had to check it out as I owned a 1975 Chevy Caprice 20 years ago. Seeing that car brought back a lot of good memories. They sure don't build them like that anymore!

It's sort of a cyclical thing - when I get a bit bored with building a particular style I tend to build something differnet for a change - at the moment it's lowriders but that'll probably change again when I start getting some stuff through from HLJ (Trueno's, old school Skylines, & VIP's). I'm also looking forward to getting my hands on the new Revell 49 Merc.

I guess I just like a lot of different styles.

Cheers
Andy

P.S. Thanks for the feedbackcomments guys

Re: 76 Chevy Caprice lowrider

It looks good. I'm not much into all the graphics and murals they sometimes put on these kinds of cars. A solid color with a clean interor looks sweet and this my friend is sweet.

The kit does have an engine but it's not very detailed so I just built it kerbside.
Cheers
