Arrow 98 grand am 3.1 DIES!!! no codes nothing!!

hey i got a 98 grand am GT with the 3.1 and it runs fine until running in the city or anywhere it it runs a little warmer it just suddenly dies no codes nothing it up and dies

when it dies it ALWAYS starts up just fine which leads me to think ignition or computer getting a little warm but it sets off no codes when it idles its fine only when it is in gear and moving

the RPM drop to round 500-600 no power put the peddle down and nothing changes until it dies on his own then it always starts just fine

i'm lost on this i work at a garage which have access to a scanner but no codes show up and i can't get it to die around there i'm lost

Re: 98 grand am 3.1 DIES!!! no codes nothing!!

Welcome to AF. I guess this is a no crank issue as opposed to a crank and no start, info is sketchy. Try leaving the key on for 10 minutes, turn off, then do the same thing again 2 more times for a key relearn procedure. You posted this in the middle of an unrelated thread also, in the future start a new thread for your own questions.
