Installing side mirror with lights/ quick question.
I'm installing a set of side view mirrors with lights on them.... My question is:: Where should i tap them to so they'll only blink on when i'm turning?? I can't do the side markers on the front bumper because there set to stay on with the headlights. Someone told me to tap them into the fuse box, but i'm curious to how one side will blink but not the other if both mirrors are using the same electrical source. My only other option is to use the turning blinkers on the headlights.. if thats the case, is there anywhere that i can locate that source with out actually having to run a wire from my side view mirrors to my headlights?? Oh and i don't have my owners manual, so if someone knows exactly which fuse is for the right and left turning signals.. that would be helpful.. thanks.

I think it would be best to tap into the wiring harness that goes to the headlights.

I think that my there is some kind of control unit for the blinkers thats inside the car. I can hear it clicking when the blinkers are on and its located right behind the cd player. Im not sure if you could tap into that but you could look into it.

That sound is actually the relay. You should be able to tap that. I believe its actually behind the instrument panel. Have to go in from the bottom IIRC. Just turn them on and listen to for it.
You may (and I'm just guessing here), be able to tap off the steering column.

Thanks for the replies.. My trunk interior is out of my car right now. So I might has well just run the wires to the rear turning light, Which I do believe is the middle light. Thats probably my best route to take. I don't wanna deal with the dash and the intrumental panel if i can avoid it.
