My Chameleon Color Paint Jobs(now bigger pics and one new one)

I used the Duplicolor Mirage Color Shift paint kit i got from Autozone for $20.
Check out my cardomain page: www.cardomain.com/ride/2459295

The one on the right was taken with the flash on. pretty cool that it does that.

This is my English project that i did another chameleon paint job on. (Im a 16 year old Sophmore in Highschool)
The assignment was to choose one word that best represents your personality and decorate the first letter of that word. (I of course knew i was going to do "Gearhead" as soon as the teacher told us wat the assignment was).
If u look closely, you can see the shape of the letter "G". i made it look like the shape of a car, with the front bumper, spoiler, and rear bumper all integrated into the shape of the letter "G".

Re: My Chameleon Color Paint Jobs

Always wondered if those kits worked.

Got the high res version of those pics? Can you take pics in a brighter lit area? From different angles? Might be cool for some painting backgrounds...

thanx for the comment...um i dont know wat u mean by "high res" versions...im pretty much a "de-de-de" when it comes to photography, i just try to hold the camera still and push the button. oh and since im 16 and cant afford a digital camera i only get to use my mom's old one..which has 2 megapixels(whatever the heck that means lol)

Only 2mp? Ow.... Better than most cell phone cameras at least

I've seen those kits before but I never could think of anything I felt like painting... if you want a cheap way to reproduce it in small quantities, get chameleon fingernail polish (might want to take a lady friend along so you dont get funny looks). Thin it, and spray it with an airbrush. I've never tried it but I hear it works wonders and is dirt cheap in the long run. Works with just about any fingernail polish...

O' what neat tricks I learned back in the days of building model cars....

Re: My Chameleon Color Paint Jobs

Hm, interesting. That almost makes me want to paint my valve cover like that, I wonder if its a high temp paint. Autozone has some suprisingly decent spray paints. I've already painted my wheels, taillights, and valve with some Autozone stuff.

Re: My Chameleon Color Paint Jobs

I saw chameleon FD in Houston before, although I'm not one for the flashy, I really wanted to hump that car.
