Cap/rotor has rust

I just went out to change my cap/rotor and I noticed that some of the pins on the cap had rust on them and they looked really nasty. Upon taking off the rotor it had a bit of carbon built up on it and the tip looked a litle burnt.

So when I went to put the wires back on, low and behold one of the tips came out of the plug wire. This set was purchased from Autozone about 1.5 years ago and have only 19k miles on them. So I vow to never again purchase a single product from them anymore. Unless of course it is oil or wipers.

I am going to try and see if I can't find a NAPA store locally and grab some wires from them. Hell if I am doing this much I might as well put new plugs in to boot.

Yes I am a bit angry, but I think my Blazer will quit puttering upon takeoff and have the power I have always wanted.

I didn't put in new plugs. The Autolite Platinum still looked good. So I am gonna return the AC Delco's for a refund.

As of right now I am doing a Seafoam treatment through the PCV valve. Boy this is gonna be interesting.

Let me know how you make out... About three months ago my truck was sputtering when it was wet out real bad... Was fine when dry.... Pulled the wires out of the cap and they were green... So I decided to do a minor tuneup.. Wires, cap, button.... Truck ran great... Had the AC Delco plugs in there that were not even two years old so I figured I would leave them in... Just the other day I got a PO300 misfire code so I figured I would put new AC Delco plugs in.... Now at idle it was rough with a bit of a hesitation at start off... Then went and changed MAP sensor (only changed because the rubber around the bottom was ripped), Fuel filter, and still the same... Then noticed I had the Bosch wires and changed them... Guy at Advanced told me get rid of them.... Now the blazer is running better but I still have a very very little bit of a rough idle and a bit of a hesitation at start off... Let me note I ran some seafoam through the gas tank before I changed the Fuel filter but no change.. This bit of a rough idle and hesitation is tolarable... Doesn't happen all the time but if you figure something out let me know.. The only thing I can think of is maybe not only the Bosch wires I got from Auto Palace were bad but maybe I should replace the Cap even though it is only about three months old... I was also thinking Throttle position Sensor or Coil Pack... Checked out the EGR and it was moving freely and cleaned it out anyway... Maybe I need a new EGR Gasket... Funny thing is I am not getting any misfire codes now.. I just feel it a bit...
