Any Problems with Torsion Keys or Lift Shackles?
I was thinking about raising my 2002 4x4 crew cab, My friend said I could buy torsion keys for the front that would raise it a few inches and shackles for the back that would raise it, I was wondering if I might encounter any problems with these methods?
Thanks |

Well, depending on your budget and what you want, "how much lift".
The suspension lift kit retails just about anywhere for these trucks at around 1200.00 for a 5" suspension lift. Or the common one for people to do on these trucks is the 3" bodylift kits that run about 90.00 That would almost allow you to run larger tires... I have a 91 S10 with a total of 8" of lift and I have 33's running on it.

Re: Any Problems with Torsion Keys or Lift Shackles?
I wouldn't raise the torsion bars that much, you'll have both a rough ride, and they'll never be able to align your front end properly resulting in premature front tire wear (getting pricy fast)
This suspension lift kit will raise te front 2", and has shackles for the back http://www.rockymountainsusp.com/GM_S10_4wd.htm Team that together with up to a 3" body lift and you might be happy, at a pretty affordable price |
