98 cavalier RS running rough lost power, MPG

my car runs hot... due to plugged radiator. it runs at 190-230 until 60 mph then cools down to 140. it started running a little rough the other day and i noticed my gas guage was going down faster than normal. after work i opened the hood and looked around the plugs.... it was about 11 30 pm and i noticed all 4 wires arced. i figured the heat melted the wires a little so i taped up the wires from end to end ... checked them and no more arc... my mpg picked up a tad but it still has a noticeable power loss under heavy acceleration. used to kickdown into passing gear at 1/2 throttle... now it only kicks down when pedal is at the floor. any suggestions? please help! it has champion double plat plugs gapped to 0.60

Did you replace your plugs as well? First off get that collant problem fixed, that will help alot, then replace the plugs and then see from there.

Hope it works out, it the rad obviously got so hot and it heated the whole system and it ended up melting the wires like you said and probably damaging the spark plugs which is why the MPG was a bummer. Swap it all and hope for the best.
