Re: Exhaust mainifolds

It's tight but can be done motor in. You're even best off if you havent bolted all the accesories or anything back up. The real PITA is by cyls 6 & 8, best from underneath.

Now,. what would be even easier, bend the stock tube to fit (use a line bender so it doesn't kink up.) or get a flexable.

Re: Exhaust mainifolds

id go with a flexable...the one tgo tells you to use is wrong though..its too short.it sits basically right on the headers..id call lokar and ask them which one to use

Re: Exhaust mainifolds

So It is possible to take off the manifolds without taking out the engine?????
i looked at a couple of the flexible ones and it doesnt start flexing early enough to get in there........ I Was thinking maybe there is a way to put a oil amount sensor if it is possible??????? and it is a 84 camaro z-28 and the engine is 77' 5.7 350..........

Re: Exhaust mainifolds

Truth be known, the purpose of the dipstick is not only to check the level, but the condition of it, so the sensor is not a very good idea. I'm waiting to see the rash of premature engine failures from some of todays cars that "tell" the driver when to add or change oil.

Are these stock moaniolds? There has to be stick out there somewhere, if not bend one like I said.
