anybody swap a 300 ZX engine in there J 30 ?? with 5 sp ??

i was just about to ask the same thing in another post. glad i saw this first. that would be a badass j30. i was thinkin about doin it too.

First off i'd liek to say that anythign is possible if you have the money. now reffering to the j30. i too have a j30 and a few years ago i thought it would be cool as all hell to drop a tt Z engine in my car considering it already had the naturally aspirated one. i looked into it and discovered it could nto be done without actually modiffying the engine bay, which to me was nto worth the time or money. so if you really want to do it, don't. just buy a Z, there is absolutely no point in dropping that engine in a j30 it might be pretty damn cool but is it worth the money and not having a car while the ugrade is taking place?:monkeypis

wouldnt work man... You've gotta think compession ratio... 10.5:1. For the VG30DE 8.5:1 for VG30DETT Turbo's would not handle that power. Other difference's still exist, cam angle, head thickness, oil pan, etc etc. And plus, its still the same basic block, so there wouldnt be any size difference in the engine bay. Now... I can get the VG30DETT clip for you no problem. My company is just getting on its feet, but make no mistake: I will get you the clip, as fast, and as efficiently as possible! For the Twin Turbo 5speed clip, $3,000 For the Twin Turbo Auto clip, $2,500 All clips include VG30DETT engine, transmission of choice, EFI Wiring harness, ECU/M, and all the brackets, mounts, and basically everything that would be on the front of car normally.
