I think this looks too much like BWM for my taste. I don't like it. I prefer the older Lincoln styling, like that of my car.
What do you guys think? |

When I first saw it on the Cover of C&D, I screamed:
Wow!! Nissan Cedric is coming to US!!! http://www.webtick.com/igorsush/cedric.htm The it does not look as close to the New Cedric you see, but the previous version is like almost an exact copy... if I can just find a pic of the old Cedric..

Its just a rename I believe. The Cedric was the Maxima a long time ago, and it could be just a rebadge. But since then it has grown away from the maxima, and into a larger luxo sedan. This will be a great move IMO.

I think it looks much better than it's sister ship the Jag S Type although the Jag has a nicer interior.

Definite thumbs up . . .
The LS is the sporty exclamation point that Lincoln has sincerely need to punctuate their dreary run-on statement of luxury . . . It shows that Detroit has finally waken up to realize that the Autobahn stormers will continue to be the consumers choice for luxury automobiles until American auto makers ante up and build a competitive product . . . A SERIOUSLY competitive product that is, not just a car aimed at the same market niche . . . but rather a performer that is more than fit to dash through the twisties with aplomb, and proudly take it's place among the ranks of the performance luxury elite . . . |

 ur calling the LS sporty??? It feels sporty but is far from sporty. The Mark 7 and 8 were alot more sporty than the LS. and a lot faster. the LS has a 0-60 time of 8 seconds, and thats supposed to be sporty when the competitors are running under 6? The mark's could run the 0-60 time of under 6.

Well . . . good point.
The Marks are not really known as performance sedans though. Their power potential is one of the points that isn't often mentioned in marketing them. Not only that, but SPORTINESS does not only take into account straight line performance. 0-60 times are only a part of the equation. I sincerely doubt that the Marks would come anywhere near the taught handling characteristics of some of the competitors . . . most notably the German makes. 0-60 times in the sub-6 region are great, but the floating-boat suspension makes your point moot. Don't get me wrong . . . I see what you're saying, and I agree . . . It's just that the LS is the first open attempt at a sport sedan that I've ever known of from the Lincoln camp . . . and a fairly good attempt in my opinion . . . |

To be honest, I don't know what to think of it. It looks like a cross from a Lexus LS, and uummmm. I don't know. Is that car gonna be coming out here?

I've seen the LS's, just not the one that Igor has linked in his post. That's the one I'm referring to. Sorry.

I know its an old topic and all, but I'm new here and I need to raise my post count so I can my pretty little logo
!I like the new LS's but don't like that there are 2 engine choices. It should be 'you want an LS - you get the V8'. And as for the Marks not handling well - go take one for a spin. I guarentue you will love it. Then, imagine that sucker with 17" rims, and poly bushings. They come with airbags on all corners for suspension, and they go as far as lowering the car a bit once a certain speed is reached for increased stability. And I think the Cougar handles nice....

The LS looks kicks serious arse. It's curves are perfect, superior to other 'luxury sports'. It's fast. Whoever called it slow must've been running the 0-60 time uphill or something... I'd have 10 of 'em if I had money, but K-Mart doesn't pay 16 y/o's very well...
