possessed 96' cavalier, 2.2 ltr. all lights flash and rough idle,die
what the deal. my 96 is possessed. i was stopped at a light when all my lights on the interior started to flash, check engine, low oil, seatbelt,brake,abs and even the day running light. after that is started to lope and choke up and die then the theft light came on. after it sat i started it back up then a little down the road it did it again, only worst this time. i got it to an autoparts store to check alternator to see if it was a power surge, it wasnt so i asked to have it hooked up to check for codes. it said it could not connect with my car, something with my connector. new computer is 400 bux. hope thats not it. any help or tips would be appreciated. thanx

update. after about 5 hours i went back to pick up car and it ran just fine all the way home. i was doggin it all the way and she kept goin. seems odd. have no idea what to think about it. mabey i just wasnt supposed to go to the bank today.

With all that going on I think I`d be checking electrical connections , Battery cables at both ends ,ground straps etc....
