tuning the system: advice?

After installing my pioneer DEQ7600 my system sounds pretty ugly now. Here is my current config:

DHD 4X50 200watt AMP
Hollywood Sound D Class 1000watt AMP
2 Holllywood 1280 D Subs
Sony CDX-l350 head unit
Pioneer DEQ7600 EQ
front speakers are Pioneer 3ways (the ones with the blue tweeter lookin things)
rear are the same pioneers (two way though)

I really haven't had much of a chance to tune amps and eq curves yet, but any advice on the matter would be appreciated. Thanks.

How much should I expect to pay to get some kickpods made and mounted when done by a professional?

well the easy way to do it, would be to turn the gains on the amps off, then turn the deck volume all the way up, then gradially raise the gains on your speaker amp, when you start to hear distortion, turn the dial back until it stops. then do the same thing with your subs and it will be happilly tuned.
