Tiburon gt performance

Hey What up my name is SPC KILBY I am currently in Iraq and I am in the process of getting parts put on my Tiburon. I just added a cold air, a header, an intake manifold, a 3inch pipe from the headers back, a magnaflow high flow cat, 2 magnaflow racing eahausts, a eibach pro kit, exel wheels, a wide body kit and a carbon fiber hood. I have around 220hp or some where around that. I am trying to figure out how to get more without force air induction at the moment. Also without bore increase, and stroker kit. What should I do?

Re: Tiburon gt performance

get rid of the heavy exel wheels, and get lighter ones. it will make it a tad faster.

on that note, you can do more weight reduction. it wont add power, but it will up your hp/weight.

also try getting lightweight pulleys. they will help make the car faster as well.

Re: Tiburon gt performance

Get more aggressive cams, bigger injectors, and some sort of fuel management device (Apex-i SAFC2, for example). A good LSD wouldn't hurt, either. A better clutch with a lighter flyweel would be a good too.

Re: Tiburon gt performance

there no way you have 220hp.. unless youre talking about 220bhp

if youre not turbo'd yet there is absolutely no point of having a 3in exhaust.. it only hurts your performance...

intake manifold?... what kind?
stock jus ported and polished? or one from NGM
what set of headers?
what intake?

with those mods you might have somewhere around 175whp...
maybe a bit more... not 220

Re: Tiburon gt performance

ok nisco if hey is talking bout gtv6 it has 176 to the wheels stock, he did say gt didnt he? if thats the case i still dont think he has 220 he has intake and exhaust, the only thing that would have got him a good jump is intake mani but all that doesnt add to 44 hp. id say 200-205 mabey.

if he has a GT, he'll have 172 (at the most) at the crank... (yeah i know thats rough....im not too happy about that number either)

the intake manifold (whatever he has) only frees up a few horses, by giving it better air flow...
btween 5-10 at best...

I put a ZEX wet kit in my 2005 tib GT V6. You could safely use the 55 shot, although I have put in the 75 to see how it ran. Haver the 65 in it now. For the money ,NOS is great. Instant HP. I love the ZEX wet kit for the tiburon.

Re: Tiburon gt performance

quick question nisco do u knpw the guy that is catching his face on fire?
and to zex tib i guess that one way to break a car.
your motor will be done in 6 months, most likely due to rings. dont ever run nitrous on a regular basis on a stock car unless u plan on working on it after u break it.

Re: Tiburon gt performance

i thought i was clear on that but thanks for elaborating. and we r not jumping ur shit zex we r just saying just about any stock car cannot and will not hold up to nitrous that long. just trying to give u a little outlook because that is a brand new car and its not cheap to fix when not if u break it..........if u spray like 1 or 2 times a week not that big of a deal but 9 10 times per week will kill ur beautiful car.
