just got my new x

well I guess its not new but new to me anyway. I traded in my 350Z for an '04 xterra se sc auto, black w/ black leather, sunroof, fosgate system, 4x4(ofcourse!). I bought it for 21,900 w/ 11,123 miles from a nissan dealership. did I do alright?

Re: just got my new x

Sounds a bit high, especially since people are trying to unload the SC's with premium gas being so expensive. But the important thing is you got the truck you like. Enjoy it and don't look back.

retail is 24,680......so 21,900 sounded pretty good. preminum isn't manadorty according to nissan usa. Premium in recomended if you want to get all 210 hp out of it........w/ gas the way it is I don't need that. Unless I'm racing some riced out civic like the one I beat the other day you should have seen his face when he got smoked!

Last I heard:

In the owner's manual it says:
Use unleaded premium gasoline with an octane rating of at least 91 AKI (Anti-Knock Index) number (Research octane number 96).
If unleaded premium gasoline is not available, unleaded regular gasoline with an octane rating of at least 87 AKI (Research octane number 91) can be used, but only under the following precautions:
- Have the fuel tank filled only partially with unleaded regular gasoline, and fill up with unleaded premium as soon as possible.
- Avoid full throttle driving and abrupt acceleration.

I think that last part would fall under the "racing some riced out civic".

Nice '04. I just got myself a '05 too.

Your Xterra sounds really cool. I was looking at those but couldn't find the one I wanted so I ended up with an '05 Xterra Offroad 4x4 (silver). I am very happy with mine. How did your's turn out? Do you like it?

Re: just got my new x

I love my x, I went and raised hell and they were gonna straight up trade me for a new 05. But I love my x and theres no way they'd give me everything in a new x that my 04 has. Plus I like the looks of mine better.

here's exactly what my x looks like(but this isn't mine). Nissan didn't have any black x's........let alone w/ the brush guard, leather rockford fosgate system and sunroof. Plus me and the GM talked to the head mechanic thats been there for 25 yrs and he said running regular gas won't be a problem and if ther eis they'll still cover everything under warranty.
