Dome Light Switch On a 94 Ciera?

For the life of me, I cannot find the dome light switch on a 94 Ciera. I opened both front doors and there is no switch in the jams.I ran my battery down because the drivers door dome light switch is faulty. Can anyone explain where the switch is on the drivers side door.I noticed the switches on the rear doors, but not on the front doors.Any help would be greatly appreciated.thanks

in the front of the jam, there should be a hole with a small silver rod sticking out of it. there should be a black cap (rubber) on the end. that is what you are looking for. it should be close to the bottom
