Question BMW 325iC & 325iC M-Technic

What are the technical differences of the 325iC and the 325iC M-Technic? I have an '89 325iC. I am slowly turning it into a street machine. I have added H&R Springs and Bilstein shocks on all 4 corners. And I'm in the process of adding 17" BBS rims with 215/40 tires. What are the differences in the engines/transmissions/overall drive lines?
