targa top?

Hey guys, I'm new to this forums and I'm planning to buy a Del Sol Si...but i was wondering about its targa top. Because its top can be removed, I was wondering if it was locked when put it or unlocked if it is taken off. Also is it possible for the targa top to fly off at high speed? say 80-90 miles on the free way w/ windows down w/ targa top on?

Hahahaha... yes the targa top is secured on. And no it wont just go fliying off at high speeds. I do 120 with the windows down regularly if you really still are skeptical.

yeah, i havnt bought the car yet so i'm just making sure =)

another question is, I've heard of stories where people's del sol got broken into...not sure if its the targa top, but how easily is it to break into one? or have anybody got borken into?

No more easy that any other car. Get an alarm tho. Great investment. If your thinking that they can pull of the roof, think again. Two metal rods slide through it to keep it locked. The roof is not a weak point of the car by any means.

the roof would be the worst place for someone to even try to break into a del sol if they think they can just pop it off think again..but when i hit a pole at 85 my frame twisted and the targa poped right off so it didnt help me much but thats because the passenger side hit the pole and twisted my frame so it helped me alot but yes del sols are very good no easyer to break into it as a civic
