Fog light voltage/Underbody neon mod...
Hey, great fourms! My question is i was wondering what voltage the fog lights run off of. Also where I can tap into this line without splicing any wires. My truck is a 2005 TrailBlazer EXT LT (Lease, so all mods have to be 100% reversiable). I want to put a neon made for a computer (12v) under the front bumper. I have modified the neon so that it is bare wires, and i want it to come on with the fog lights. Where can i get power for this? Pics would be appriciated.

It's only like $30 bucks and it's a four channel remote switch with keyfob...the nice thing is you don't even have to run cable through the firewall. That way you can run a wire directly from the battery, WITH INLINE FUSE, so this switch and then from the switch to the UBK. You can even go two-tone on separate channels...or have one "legal" lighting setup...and one "show" setup. You can do a lot of things. Like I said, I've done it on my 2004LTZ...so if you need some more help...let me know. |

Like I said...I don't have any pics....but it would look like this...(the safest way):
NEON UBK ---> < INLINE FUSE> ---> 1 channel pair of the Pilot Remote Switch ---> <INLINE FUSE> ----> Battery. Trust me...use two fuses...that way if one thing blows...it won't blow everything. I believe one of the inline fuses is provided with the switch. All of this can go under the hood and you don't need to run anything through the firewall. The switch comes with pretty decent instructions on how to wire up anything to it. If you need more info...e-mail me (take out the ASTERISKS) at: baskerj***@***cfl.***rr.***com. |
