trouble code help

hey guys,
i recently went for an e-test up here in ontario canada and i failed. my curb idle readings were ok but at 40km my readings were above the norm.i also noticed that my engine light comes on when im driving on the highway so i decided to check that out. i read the trouble codes on my ecu and im getting code 12(egr) and code 43(fuel supply system).could these codes be the reason why im not passing the e-test???is code 43 the fuel pump and if not, what else could that be?thanks for all you help...by the way, i have a 1990 integra RS.
