question about supercharged cobra's

ok, i know that I post alot about mustangs and i'm not knocking them just the guys that i know

this mustang fanatic friend, personally i feel that he doesn't know shit about cars, he drives a V6 automatic 2000 mustang, couldn't even install his own cold air intake

well anyways he claims that there is an intercooler kit on the internet, that gives a 90 hp increase, and it doesn't affect boost

total BS right??

Yeah this guy has BS flowing out of him.
I saw on Horsepower TV that they installed an intercooler on a GT and got a 20 horsepower increase. I think the most they ever got was 30 horsepower.
Also, he got screwed over if the thing doesn't affect his boost. The point of an intercooler is to cool the air that's coming out of the turbo or supercharger. Once the air is cooled it compacts more and it's easier to force more air into the engine. If this thing doesn't affect his boost then it's not cooling the air.

i think he meant affecting horsepower in the sense that when the compressed air goes through the IC it usually loses like 2 psi, this is the reason why the boost gauge is hooked up after the IC... but thats not possible either so hes definatly full of it
