I work at autozone...yeah yeah, i know..."get in the zone..auto zone.."..lol.. Anyway, i'd say ATLEAST twice a day, i get some d*ckweed who thinks to "highly" of there car.

Example #1... This kid..."kid".. (maybe 19) wanted to know about filters..and how to clean them, whatever.. After talking for a bit, i asked him what car/make etc.. He says a killer monte carlo.. Oh it kicks ass he says.. I'm thinking i'm gonna go outside to see a late 80's monte with a 350 dropped in it...NOPE...WHAT IS IT...... A white monte carlo SS, an 02 i believe..those ugly nascar bodied ones the the 3.8 V6 i believe...front wheel drive mind you. This kid was saying that STOCK with a k@n fipk intake his car runs late 13's...... I was like, you mean in the 1/8...?? Lol, he said no..the 1/4....

Example #2... This real f*cknut with a mach 1...oooooooo...OO..oooo...i'm scared... Thats fast... Anyway, i came outside to check out his W7 which made my balls rattle...nice system.. Anyway, as we are talking car audio...you hear the familiar rumble of a camaro...we look at the turnpike, and it was an 04 GTO.. I was like, "i love that car"...Which i do.. Then he says, yeah those aren't that fast though.. I tell him it's fast enough, THEN he gets into the "mustang takes all" mode... "You Kidding me..i walk all over those gto's with my mach1".. And i'm like, yeah whatever bro..

I kinda pissed him off cause i said, yeah stock you might be faster, but your car is still under 300 cubic inches...HE FLIPPED...ah that sh*t means nothing, i told him "alright i gotta go".. And that was that..

Let me NOT EVEN get into the "horribly" dropped civics with the bent in tires... This kid was bragging today saying how much faster his civic was cause the motor in it was from an integra... I told him yeah it's fast for a shopping cart..

I love helping people at where i work...especially the hot chicks that don't even know HOW TO POP THERE HOOD....SERIOUSLY.. But some customers really need to do more research before they sh*t from the mouth..

those guys cant be as bad as a kid i know... lol he has the most riced out mustang ive ever seen, its pathetic, and im a mustang guy lol. that thing almost makes me cry.its a auto v6 with 150hp... wow. i should get a picture.

Newer Monte Carlo SS's have the supercharged L67 3.8L v6, and it could with some mods easily do 13s..

Also, a Mach 1 and an 04 GTO from a dig would be a driver's race at best, (although I would give the edge to the Mach 1).

Good luck with that autozone job. Sell more stickers.

GTO would only stand a chance from a roll.

Mach 1 = 2005 GTO
At least in my opinion. They should be about even from a dig, with the GTO pulling from a roll.

I'm not a huge autozone fan. I think most of hte people who work thier (at least most of the ones I've been to) are douches. One guy told me the only way I'd ever get my car to be fast (I was ordering my K&N drop in, I guess he thought I was buying it to go faster) was to get, and I quote, "A mad NOS set up." I just started laughing my ass off, asking him if Vin told him that line. He started bitching at me, saying not to be an asshole just cuz I had a slow car. I asked him what he was driving, and he pointed to, you guessed it, a Civic LX with the bleacher sized wing, nasty ass vinyls, and ugly cheap ass Autozone wheels. I asked him to put his money where his mouth was, and he said no, he doesn't street race durring the week? I was like ok whatever.

Then there was the other guy who told me how I should and shouldn't drive my car. And I'm not saying giving me good technical advice, I mean, he said like I shouldnt drive it so hard (I almost missed the turn becuase some soccer mom wouldnt get outa the turn lane, and I had people comming up on my ass fast, so I cut it a little hard), and that if I did, I wouldn't have my car for to long. I told him he could tell me how do drive when he owned a car like mine, and then he told me if I had a shitty attitude, I could leave his store. So I did, and went across the street to O'Riellys. I'm not saying you do, but most people who work at Autozone think they know so much just becuase they work in a car parts store. Hell, the one near my school didn't even know what a 325i was. He was like, is that some sorta Ford or somethin? Now then, it wouldnt have been so bad if an issue of Car and Driver with a picture of a BMW 325i on the cover wasnt sitting right in front of him.

You are the reason autozone sucks. Every f'n time I go there there is some asshole trying to give me advice I don't need. Or fucking weird looks because they DO NOT know shit about my car or engine.

BTW it is possible, unlikely, but possible to hit 13s with just an intake in that car(if it has the L67)!!!!!!!!

I hit 11s in the same engine with hardly any work done to it. SO YES it is possible to have a fast FWD GM piece of shit.

^^ Oh man that is so so true its not even funny. I have even got some races from local asshats at our Autozones cuz they didn't beleive me that Regals came with L67's.

Lets just say they know me by name when i walk in there now.

I love how the 3 Autozones by where i live have girls as parts guys and they don't know a knueter valve from cross drilled break lines.

Don't get me wrong there are a hell of alot of girls that know a shit load about cars but they don't work at Autozones.

I only go to Autozone if i know the part i need b4 i go. The one old guy near me asked me b4 i walked out the one day after i was looking at a couple tools "Did you put that little tool back?" He asked me it like i was trying to steal it!!! Oh i was sooo mad after that. I laughed at him on my way out and laughed as i superglued a penny to all his door locks on his car and some pennies to his windshield

Yes i knew it was his car cuz i see him in it all the time. I have a bad tempor and thats the only thing i could think of at the time. haha

I agree entirely with dampachi. Slowregal, in all honestly what you just told me makes you sound stupider than anyone could ever be. Most people there have to look out for parts being stolen. It's part of their job. The thing you could have did was empied out your pockets, and said "Nope". Then walked away. That would have surely made him feel stupid doing that alone.

You say you are in your mid 20's with a wife and kids. Grow the hell up. Now superglueing pennies to his locks. That is by far the worst thing I have ever heard anyone doing to someone else.
