Question Third Gen Gauge Question

Probally a really dumb question BUT: I was just wondering about the gauges on an 89 camaro... Gas Gauge: supposed to move alot when you accelerate and decelerate? Speedo: supposed to move up n down when you are doing a constant speed? .. .. Most of the gauges just move up n down when at a constant speed.. Any help would be appreciated...

Re: Third Gen Gauge Question

Nope, its not suppose to do that. You may have a problem with the whole cluster.

Edit- your gas guage may move around turns and stuff , thats normal and your speedo may be cause from a VSS on its way out..

Just replace them, they're probably no good anymore. Samething was happening with my 87 iroc. My rpm gauge would actually be able rev all the way to 7grand with the throttle push have way in park, and i know that not possible with the 305. I went to the junkyard this weekend and pretty got all the gauges for free. They were small enough to fit your pocket
