I so should have gotten a CRX..
I was looking at the prices of CRX's today on autotrader.. for the same cost as my 95 civic I could've gotten a 89 or 90 CRX and swapped a B16a2 or b16c1 in.

and if your only purpose for the car is speed then I think you should have. But the civic has more to offer than a crx for every day driving.

True.. but I'm selling my civic now.. too many problems and not fast enough.
Oh well.. a CRX woulda been fun but no point in selling a 95 to get a 91. |

WTH is a b16c1?And why didn't you realize this now about the CRX? Of course an older car is going to be less expensive, and the CRX is obviously much lighter. Prime example why people should not buy the first car they see without thinking about it and researching it before hand. It took me 6 months without having a car to even find my car. I could have gotten a lightly rusted teg LS for $6K, but I knew I wanted a civic hb so I waited. Something better always comes along, but you'll know for next time. |

only civic that has nicer things in it then a CRX is the new ones SI trim crx seats are comfy as hell support you well gauges easy to read and slick looking dash A/C blows like a mofo heats fast too. Durr CRXs have there status for a reason there a light cheap fun little car i have its bigger brother |

Expect to replace wheel bearings with every oil change! And tranny + engine every year. Also, stock up on brake calipers since they'll cease up every other oil change.. lol Seriously man, I could bitch and moan about a DSM forever, but you're probably smart enough to research it and make your own decision. I won't lie, I miss the car and it was a helluva lot of fun when it ran good. I'll never forget the times where I smoked Z28's with nothing but a JDM motor and 2 bolt on mods (muffler + K&N filter). The guy who bought the car off me says it was putting out around 240HP. |

Well I'm thinking of moving to a 97-99 GSX if I can find one. Little more new, more reliable.. I know they have problems but I've been in love with Eclipses since I was 9 (when the 2g came out).
Not to mention I can't find many fast cars in my price range that I like. |

Re: I so should have gotten a CRX..
2nd gen DSMs aren't more reliable than 1st gens. 2nd gens are the ones that are prone to crankwalk. No telling whether or not you will get crankwalk, but it's something you should keep in mind.
