Who cares what politicians drive

1st. That's the hypocracy of our democracy for ya

2nd. If anything, I'd drive one because I feel that I can do my own part
for the environment (since it is about time we OWED HER BIG
TIME), and (my opinion only) the Prius looks very futuristic, like
something out of "Back to the Future".

I mean, yeah...sure, politicians do good things for the people....

....but then again, if that was true, then Alaska wouldn't be decaying right now.

Re: Ugly Liberals car?

That's exactly the type of generalization and ignorance our country DOES NOT NEED! First, aesthetics is your own opinion and to each his own. Secondly, if Democrats are driving environmentally sound cars, then what is to say about the Republicans? (I am not for either side so don't think I am biased). I have also seen more Prius with a W on the bumper than Prius with Kerry on the bumper. So your arguement is moot. Don't get me wrong: I'm not saying there are more Republican owners than there are Democrat owners, but to claim that the prius is a "Democrat's car" is just unfair.

I am a liberal who just bought a Prius. While I have seen a few Priuses with "W" stickers, I agree that the majority of Prius owners lean liberal. This is due to the fact that most liberals are intelligent enough to care more about preserving the world's climate for future generations than what their cars look like, although I think it is a great looking car. I can imagine that many conservatives would think it is ugly, however, because it looks a little different, and Republicans HATE anything different. As far as outsourcing goes, buying a Japanese car is not outsourcing, as Toyota employs plenty of Americans. We live in a global economy. Where do you think Ford has their parts made? In America? Wrong! Cars are assembled from parts all over the world. Some companies just do it better, and those companies sure as hell aren't American. Until American car compainies get a clue and start building well made, environmentally friendly vehicles instead of suing the state of California for passing pro-environment legislation, I'll stick with Toyota.
