trany probs on a 99

alright i got a 99 escalade and my problem is when i floor it it won't shift out of the gear and the truck seems to not want to go like its strapped down. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks

i dont know much about the tranny but i would have to say the passing gear cable maybe the problem but again i dont know much. I hope that helps.

some more info does the engine rpm goes up
i seen some of this prob most of them turn out to be clogged feual filter.
