My parents bought a used 98 Lumina from a used car dealer and they are trying to get the radio working but since this car has a THEFTLOCK feature they can't get it to work.
I gave them instruction from my 96 Lumina owners manual pag. 3-20 on Activation of THEFTLOCK. I'm not sure if it will work but figure I'd try. Now for the question: Will this work? If not then how can I get the instructions so that they can do their own code? They have to take the car in for the recall repair for the steering colum that affected 98-00 Chevy. My dad thinks that they could do "something" to fix it so that its their radio and not locked down, but it would probaly cost money, probaly more then they can really shell out. So any tip or advice or direction would be greatly appreicated. |
