once bitten twice shy by a cobra

i was drivng down a two lane road today and i see a newer mustang ahead of me going pretty fast, i catch up and see that it is a cobra with pearlescent paint. the kind of paint that changes colors when u look at it. any way i pull along side and drop it in 3rd at about 65mph, i look over and there is this pretty hot chick driving i give "the wave" and take off but she doesnt race. we get to the end of the road and turn left on main street. there is pretty heavy traffic on main street so we dont really have a chance to race. but once i get on main street she shoots a gap and flys around me, intriguied i shoot the gap and get on her ass. we are swerving through traffic for about five miles, just playing, trying to get ahead of each other, and she gets lucky a car she is behind turns left and she gets ahead. it is a 3 lane road and im in the middle shes in the left one car ahead of me we come up to a light and im the second car at the light she is the first. at the light shes takes off pulling off 1-3third gear scracthes and i am about half a hard on at that point. i was stuck behind a car at the light so i couldnt take off, i get over in the left lane and get on her ass the highway is coming up and we both turn left and get on. i think to myself hehe things are about to get interesting. she is going about 80 and i get up along side her and look over and remind myself "dam shes hot" i motion to her to slow down and she does we slow down to about 40 and i hit it and let off. when i hit it she hits its and keeps going so i get back on it. she has about 1 car length on me from the headstart and i am not able to catch her before we run into traffic again. i slow back down and she slows down with me this time we stay at 40 for about 15 seconds and let traffic get ahead of us. i put my hand up then thow it down signaling to go. off the jump i got a nose on her and once i hit the top of third i have a car length. by the top of fourth i got about a car and a half on her and am still pulling at 110. i hit my brakes and call it off slow down next to her wave and smile then i take my exit with the biggest smile on my face ive had in a while. any way the car looked dam good with that green pearlescent paint i was wondering if they came from the factory with that paint.

hmm, then we'd have some sort of Camstang or Musamaro, kinda like a sil80 i suppose.

allthrottle from your post it sounds like you were in a lot of traffic while doing all this racing. I mean don't get me wrong i street race whenever a race comes along but if theres traffic and a possibility that someone could get hurt i NEVER race. Okay, fair enough if you don't care about whether you die or whatever street racing but what about the other people in the other cars that you might kill while racing. sorry, don't mean to sound like i'm putting you down or anything, i'm just saying be careful and you might want to consider not racing in traffic for your sake and others.

Re: once bitten twice shy by a cobra

Zwrangler your so right! im never gonna street race again cause everytime i do im risking my life and someone elses. In fact just driving on the road im risking my life and someone elses. The other day i walked across the street, someone could have hit me, thats risking my life! But what if they swerved and ran into someone else, then i risked their life! oh god im gonna become a hermit!

Cool race man, you should have tried to get her to pull over though so you could chat, or finger her car.

Don’t be a jackass I think zwrangler made a good point. Racing in traffic is stupid. Hes not saying don’t race just be as careful as you can and try not to risk other peoples lives. Jayson your attitude is just like those retards they showed on inside edition who don’t give a damn about anyone else.

Edit: Oh good race allthrottlenobottl... to bad you didnt stop to get her number. And like zwrangler said be careful

Re: once bitten twice shy by a cobra

she obviously hasnt hear/read the 14 reasons why you will never beat an LS1 (note sarcasum).

"The LS1 Was Parked"
"The LS1 was actually an LT1 which can only be beaten by an LS1"

not too bad of a race...just stay out of traffic keep moding the LS1 and then if another sequil to the fast and the furious comes you can spank alota ass from the movie parking lot. ahh great memories. the movie just came out (blury lines fade into a flash back) we where in a friends dads Z4 all the little kids in theri little hondas get in the parking lot and are pumped or "krunked" as some may put it in my town. they start revving their engines in the parking lot after getting out of the theatre and we took down all. hopefully taught alot of htem a good lesson. either down mess with BMW's or speed takes work (or cash in our case)

Re: once bitten twice shy by a cobra

dude this is a street racing forum, theirs always going to be cars on the road. almost everyone on this forum race stoplight to stoplight. This isnt F&F go down to your local industrail area and race vin diesel. Everyone is well aware of the risks involved in street racing, no one needs a lecture about being careful and safety.

That was a pretty good story, lacked one minor thing though, paragraphs.
other than that sounded fun.

(side note. saw an all yellow cobra today(+yellow rims lol), and an S281EC)

Lots of nice cars out today I must say (and hot girls in cars lol)

Cool story, too bad you didn't get a # though. The only time I ever raced a girl (she was actually like 40ish, so a woman would better fit) was this one who had a sick sounding IS300. Got my ass handed to me.
Anyway, this is your story not mine, but good deal anyway.

And I think Zwrangler brings up a good point. Of course I see Jayson's side of the argument as well; but racing in traffic CAN BE hazardous, that's all he was saying. Ya, driving period can be hazardous, but flying through traffic having "car sex" as CivRacer so eloquently put it, is much MORE hazardous, and can endanger the lives of more than the parties racing. That's all he was saying man.

On a side note : I do race in an industrial area when given an opportunity (right next to the beach actually, but it is a lumber yard). I don't go there often because everyone and their grandma is down their with their Type R Caprices, but there are some nice cars down there for the most part.

Re: once bitten twice shy by a cobra

the highway didnt have as much traffic as main street which is a 40-mph street, we probably didnt get over 70 on main street on which we really werent racing we were just swerving through traffic having some fun, also i realize the dangers of racing in traffic but i also have aaaaaaaalllllotttt of experience of driving at highspeeds through traffic, but im not stupid about it thats why i shut it down at 110 on the highway

edit* oh yea im keepin my eye out for the girl in the cobra, driving down the same streets maybe one of thses days ill see her and get a chance to talk to her

Re: once bitten twice shy by a cobra

Well, not to lecture you like everyone else here. But I just want to add in somewhat. It really doesn't matter how much driving experience you have. There still are many ways that one can cause a wreck, or even wreck their own car. I'm sure you'll be able to pick out the girls car. It sounds like one a million. Good luck with that one, drive safe. Late...
