Re: How do I fix my airbag light?

Don't quote me on this, but air bags (like odometers) may have certain federal restrictions on them. Therefore, if you resell a car with a roll backed odometer or a knowingly faulty air bag, there could be legal implications. So search for any possible Recalls and then take it to a Ford dealer.

With that said, purchase the factory service manual from Helm, Inc. http://www.helminc.com .
These are the same service manuals used by Ford factory trained technicians. If anything needs to be fixed, it WILL be in there.

Re: How do I fix my airbag light?

very easy to reset your airbag...

1. find a grey plug under the glove box. it will not be connected to anything, but will have wires coming out of it.
2. turn the ignition on, but do not start the car
3.wait for the air bag light to complete its diagnosis sequence... (blink 3 times, pause, blink 5 times, or whatever)
4. create a short between the two wires and keep it there... (just use another piece of wire or tin foil, you just need to connect the 2 wires)
5. wait a few seconds and you should hear some beeping coming from the computer.
6. remove short and shut off car.. wait a few seconds, and you should be good to go,

let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks for the info for removing blinking air bag light. I have search the web for this procedure, and have come up with what the codes mean, but not how to turn them off/reset them.
