1:12 Cup Noodle Honda NSR250 (* Progress Pics *)

This is my new project.
The Cup Noodle Honda NSR250 used by Nabuatsu Aoki during the 1992 season.
It’s a full painted TS-12 (Gold) model but it’s possible to make the second bike that was painted in TS-30 (Silver).
For now the body is painted and I’m currently working in the engine.

Looks good so far. I just saw this kit cheap at the LHS, maybe I might have to pick it up.

Lots of bikes happening around here lately, good to see. For sure another stunning model in the making Nuno, thanks once again for sharing its creation with us all.

Thank you for your interest on this project.
Here are some new update photos.

Things are running quite nice.
Unfortunately due to the model’s age the decals are a bit degraded.
I will have to correct that problem with some paint or some non-used decals.

Looks great Nuno, any idea of just how old the kit is? I mean to give some indication of how long it takes for the decals to degrade.

Re: 1:12 Cup Noodle Honda NSR250 (* Progress Pics *)

Well Phil, I think this one is about eleven years old.
I don’t know if it always related with the age. For instance I have the Mitsubishi Pajero that is about the same age and the decals are perfect. A bit yellowed however.
I think one of the main factors is the location were they were stored.
For instance if it is a dry or a humid place.

Thanks for that Nuno. I've got some kits that date back to the early eighties. I probably should find a good place to keep the decals safe and in good condition. To ensure they are usable when I get around to building the kits in another 20 years...

Here’s a new update on this project.

I’m happy with the result so far. Especially having in mind that I just bought this model because it was cheap.
The front fork is finished. Soon I will just have to work in the front cowling.

Sweet model, nuno; I don't know this model well, but hey, I like your typical amount of detail on it, it's superb!
