oil light and coolant light stays on after engine swap.
I just swapped motors in a 94 saturn sc2 and now the oil light and coolant light stay on. Also the engine doesn't get very hot, stays around the 1/4 line on temp gauge and the top heater hose isn't firm like if coolant was flowing through it. The engine runs very good and I have a few hundred miles on it and I'm just wondering if this sounds like I have some bad sensors or do I have a serious problem? Please help.

Re: oil light and coolant light stays on after engine swap.
hopefully i can help, what was the motor in before you swapped it or was it sitting awhile if your top hose is not firm my sugg. would be pull out your thermostat and check it actually i wouldnt even check it i would go to napa and buy a new one for $5-10 bucks and take the 15-20 mins and replace it, different motors will read differently on gauges im assuming your running hotter than it says
