A 2 buttons remote can also start the engine?

I bought a Chevy Venture 97, but the previous owner lost the remote. He just told me is a Surestart remote, 2 buttons, lock/unlock doors and starts the engine. He was firm about that. He even described the remote to me.
Question: Is it possible for a 2 buttons remote to have engine start feature? I saw the one GM dealer showed me and the buttons are Lock and Unlock.

Yes, I sell DEI branded remote start equipment. Their old remote start systems just had a very simple 2 button remote. Each button would do different things then if you pressed both buttons at the same time, would activate the remote starter.
