Anybody using Bosch's platinum +4 spark plugs?

I am thinking about getting the Bosch's platinum +4 spark plugs for my car, anybody using it or got any suggestion on spark plugs?

Re: Anybody using Bosch's platinum +4 spark plugs?

yes i tried them once, they were pretty good. i think they are cheaper now compared to when they came out which was when i bought mines. anyways, i can feel a difference in the throttle response and power after replacing the old plugs out, the downside was that the plugs got corroded after a a couple of months. currently i got some nsk irridiums, and it didn't have the same feeling as the +4, maybe at the end of this month i might compare the two again back to back.

regular NGK copper cores will do fine, just change them often. if you want longer life go with NGK platinums.

I remember reading in Consumer Reports magazine long ago when the Bosch's platinum +4 spark first came out and they said it made no noticable difference compared to a regular single prong platinum plug, or if any difference were made, it was very minor and the cost factor is not worth it for the very minor difference.

They also test the Tornado you put in the intake and found that the air "charger" system didn't work either.

The sparks energy will only go to one of the ground straps, so having 4 is basically useless. One ground strap is just as good as 4.

try it out and tell us what u think, i know i've tried them and i did feel a difference.

although the current gets to go only one ground electrode, the 4 ground electrodes with the bosch aren't useless. with the bosch, it allows the spark path to go towards the most efficient path out of the 4. with regular plugs, if the ground electrode is corroded then u can't doing anything but get new plugs since its only spark path is cover up with corrosion.

well here is another spin to this plug issue, i was running cheap autolite plugs in my integra with spray, until they finally burnt out, i then replaced them with bosch platinums and now the car seems to be sluggish but i also had to reset the computer due to the install of a new o2 sensor, so i am not sure if the computer changes causes this or the plugs ia m giving the computer a few days to read all the changes again and see if it helps
what do you all of you think?

Re: Anybody using Bosch's platinum +4 spark plugs?

im not trying to promote the bosch plugs, but i highly doubt those are causing the problem, unless u got the wrong kind. these plugs actually works better than the leading brand, i believe they went up against ngk and still made more power. let me see if i can find that dyno.

here it goes:
http://www.importreview.com/reviews/BoschVSNGK.html

as u can see some of the guys didn't believe these plugs were better either until now. to be honest, its only 1 hp, but my point is that these are pretty good and not crummy as u think they are

Re: Anybody using Bosch's platinum +4 spark plugs?

i am not saying that bosch isnt any good, i am just asking if you think it is possible that with me resetting the computer a couple of times, that it would cause the car to seem sluggish until it reads all the mods again

Don't use platinum plugs with nitrous! Stick to copper core only. ANd a step colder would not hurt as well
