Probably really hard to do, considering you should always have the clutch in when you start it, and remote starting, even in neutral could be dangerous...

Remote car starter come in auto or manual variety. You can remote start a 5 speed safely and quite easily.
You just need to program it with the engine running in neutral with the handbrake on. And it will then start just like a normal car starter. |

Remote starting a manual transmission vehicle is generally not recommended.
Clifford Intellistart 4 can be programmed for manual transmission vehicles. With the vehicle key started, you remote start the vehicle, exit the vehicle, close the door and arm the alarm. The car will then shut down. Now as long as the doors don't come open on the vehicle, you can safely remote start it. Otherwise, there are some adaptors that go around the stick shift, that you adjust so it knows where neutral is. Make sure the parking brake is used as a shutdown, so if the brake is not set it won't start. I have seen both systems fail, so beware!! |
