EX engine code

This might sound stupid, but what's the enigne code for an EX engine? Is it VTEC? SOHC or DOHC?

all ex's are ingle over head cam. SOHC they have vtec they also have either 125 or 127 hp depending on year, the 6th gen 96-00 code d16y8 and the 5th gen 92-95 is d16z6 i believe, they are both the same but they have different transmissions. that pretty much should be it. and oh yea almost forgot. this all could be found in the honda faq at the top of the forum, check there for things before you ask next time.

Ok, thanks. Though the d16y8 is newer, would you say it is worse than the z6 becuase of its bad R/S ratio?
