The new Edelbrock turbo kit is here!!!

Well I just got the Edelbrock Sport Compact catalog in the mail today. The new PerformerX turbo kits look sweet! The kit that is available now is the 96-00 Civic SOHC VTEC one, but soon to come:
99-00 SI civic
94-01 GSR integra
94-00 LS integra (oh yeah baby)
97-01 Type R integra

For those that don't know, heres some specs:
Garret T28 ball bearing turbo
Edelbrock Performer X manifold with secondary fuel rail and 4 additional injectors
Tial BOV
Spearco FMIC
boost gauge with A pillar mount pod
Ceramic coated piping
"state of the art electronics to control boost, fuel, and timing retard"

And it says the price expectancy is around 3500 dollars for the 96-00 Civic. So I guess us Integra owners can atleast expect a price lower than 4K, which is good considering what you get and considering what other good kits go for - I.E. FMAX kit is 3800 dollars, and this kit from Edelbrock with spank it.

Nice that does look like quite a deal are they planning anything other then honda/acura apps? It's cool that it comes with the boost gauge. Cool stuff where did you hear about it?

It doesn't mention any other applications to come other than Honda/Acura. I like to keep up with new products, saw it on Edelbrocks website and ordered a catalog.

its probably the GT25 which goes for like 1400. Its actually huge. My friend just got one, I think the thing is a monster. Good luck, I really don't think its a t28. I think all the GT series are hybrid turbos but all seem hot. I think its a t28/t04s.

I think I still like the rev hard. My price on the rev hard was 2850 and the guy told me he would upgrade me to ball bearing for 500 so total price is 3350.

Yeah but the edelbrock kit comes with the performer X intake manifold with a secondary fuel rail with 4 additional injectors. And I'm not sure about that 4000 dollars for the other kits - I was just guessing. The civic kit is 3500, maybe the others will be too.

I think that all the stuff that comes with the kit is cool, but for all that stuff you would think that you'd get more than 170 HP. I seen that in an add that was posted about it in the sport compact magazine. That's it??? only 170 HP from all that STUFF???? You can get 185 HP with the apexi turbo kit on the 92-95 civic. Andf that doesn't even include fuel management. Add fuel management and you get more HP!! The edelbrok kit is nice, but should get more gains with all that equipment.

its probably a very conservativelly tuned kit so people will not blw their engines up....i bet you can tune it yourself to much more hp than that if you are brave enough

It's 170 wheel HP, not BHP, and thats pretty good for only 6-7 PSI.

take it a bit easier there super man.....pwman has a very valid point...you never metioned wheel HP you only said HP that is by default understood as crank HP...after your post that was what i assumed too.....there is no need for calling him names. and there is a huge difference between crank HP and wheel hp...so the corection was welcomed
