Question How do u check 4 factory installed keyless?

is there a way to check whether my 98 camry has factory installed keyless entry when we just bought it no fob. thanks

Easiest way is to call your local dealer, and give them the vehicle's VIN. They'll be able to pull up all the factory installed options and tell you if it was installed. Really beats crawling under the dash. Good luck!

I'm not 100% sure on this, but if it was added as a new-car purchase, then it should be in the system. If your car still has the dealer badge stuck to the trunk, you can call that particular dealer as well to be sure.

A Toyota parts department employee should be able to pull up the vehicle by the VIN # and make sure you confirm if you have the FACTORY installed system, or the DEALER/PORT installed RS3000 system.

There are 2 different types for the 98 Camry.
